Kedarkantha Trek starts from Sankri in Uttarakhand which is one of the best trekking places in India. The highlights of Kedarkantha trek are the beautiful campsites, snow-covered pine forests, 360-degree view of the mountains and the chance to stand on top of one of the easiest trekkable peaks in the Himalayas.

Kedarkantha is a mountain peak of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, India. Its elevation is 12,500 ft (3,800 m). Kedarkantha is located within Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi district.
The climb to the peak of Kedarkantha starts from a small village called as Sankri. There are a total of 13 peaks of the Himalayan range visible from the Kedarkantha peak. The experience of the summit climb is very special and stays with you for a long time. There is a lake called Juda-ka-talab, the locals say that once upon a time Lord Shiva meditated at Kedarkantha. Its name implies so from the droplet fallen from Shiva’s hair to form this lake named as Juda-ka-talab.

  Pickup from Dehradoon in taxi
  Drive to Sankri
  Reach Sankri after 9-10 hours
  Trek for around 4-5 hours to reach mystic Pundrik Lake with lunch on the way
  Check in to home stay, Tea/coffee
  Dinner
  Stay in Sankri
DAY 1

?DAY 2 | 1920 to 2700 MTS ASL | SANKRI – JUDA KA TAAL

  Tea/coffee, Breakfast at the stay
  Today we trek to Juda ka Taal  through the snow
  Reach Juda ka Taal after 4-5 hours of trekking through snow and Pine trees with lunch on the way (5 kms)
  Tea/coffee, Bonfire, Snacks
  Dinner
  Stay in Tents under million stars
DAY 2

?DAY 3 | 2700 to 3430 MTS ASL | JUDA KA TAAL – KEDARKANTHA BASE CAMP

  Tea/coffee, Breakfast at camp site
  Today we trek to Kedarkantha base camp
  Reach Kedarkantha basecamp after 3-4 hours of trekking through snow (5 kms)
  Tea/coffee, Bonfire, Snacks
  Dinner

DAY 3

?DAY 4 | 3430 to 2700 MTS ASL | KEDARKANTHA PEAK – JUDA KA TAAL

  Tea/coffee, Breakfast at camp site
  Today we trek to Kedarkantha peak and then trek down to Juda ka Taal (7 kms)

  Dinner

  Tea/coffee, Breakfast at camp site
  Today we trek to down to Sankri (5 kms), after reaching Sankri shared drive to Dehradoon
